You will learn cooking vocabulary, Spanish recipes, and the formation and use of the Imperfecto de Indicativo – the imperfect past tense.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will get to know three authentic Spanish recipes – Gazpacho Andaluz, Sombrero de Setas and Huevos Rellenos en Argentina. You will learn key verbs related to cooking, as well as kitchen utensils. The central grammar content is the Imperfecto de Indicativo – how it is formed and in which situations it is used. You will practise distinguishing between the Imperfecto and the Pretérito Indefinido through real sentences from the recipes and texts about the Maya. The lesson ends with exercises on the imperative forms of verbs related to preparing food.
