Lesson 5 — Spanish A2

The lesson covers vocabulary and dialogues for ordering food and drinks in a restaurant, direct and indirect object pronouns, and the formation of the imperative (imperativo) in Spanish.

About this lesson

In this lesson you will immerse yourself in the atmosphere of a Spanish restaurant – you will learn how to order food and drinks, ask for the bill and leave a tip. You will master the direct object pronouns (me, te, lo, la, nos, os, los, las) and the indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos, os, les), including the special rule for replacing le/les with se before lo/la/los/las. You will understand how the imperative (imperativo) is formed for the polite form (usted) – affirmative and negative. Finally, you will consolidate the use of personal pronouns after prepositions (para mí, contigo, de ti and others).
