A lesson on making requests and asking for permission in a shop, expressing purpose with «para» / «para que», and using the subjuntivo in subordinate clauses of purpose.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will immerse yourself in real dialogues from a Spanish department store and learn how to ask politely for a favour or for permission. You will understand the difference between «¿Le importa + Infinitivo?» and «¿Le importa que + Subjuntivo?» and when each of the two forms is used. You will master expressing purpose with «para + Infinitivo» and «para que + Subjuntivo», distinguishing the cases with one subject from those with two different subjects. Finally, you will also get to know alternative conjunctions of purpose such as «a fin de», «con el fin de» and «no sea que».
