About this lesson

In this lesson you will learn how to form and use the Passive Voice in the Present Simple Tense in English. You will study the structure am/is/are + past participle and practise transforming active sentences into passive ones. We use an authentic text about the reality show Big Brother and George Orwell's classic novel '1984' so that you can see the grammar in a real context. This important grammar skill will allow you to express actions when the focus is on what is being done rather than on who is doing it.
