From 27.09.2012, the Employment Agency launches an information campaign under the scheme 'Safe Work' under the Operational Program 'Human Resources Development'. The campaign will run until October 5, 2012 in nine cities across the country.
The launch took place before approximately 100 employers in Sofia, led by Kamelia Lozanova, Executive Director of the Agency.
Business representatives will be informed about the opportunities and procedures for applying under the scheme for providing free financial assistance.
Companies can apply for financing ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 BGN, and the total amount of funds under the scheme is 41,758,382 BGN.
The deadline for submitting project proposals is 26.11.2012.
Under the scheme, small, medium and large enterprises can apply in their capacity as employers. The main goal is improving working conditions in enterprises while complying with the norms and requirements of legislation on occupational safety and health.
At least 350 enterprises are expected to receive support and workplace accidents and occupational diseases are expected to be reduced by 25%.
The implementation of the 'Safe Work' scheme began in 2011. Under the first call for project proposals, 239 projects worth approximately 30 million BGN were approved.
