Origin / Etymology
There are two versions about the origin of the expression.
The first and most popular is that it comes from frog legs, which are a traditional product in French cuisine.
According to the second version, the expression originates from the 9th century, when French Emperor Charlemagne (Charlemagne) attempted to conquer the Island. The flag of the army he led contained ornaments resembling frogs.
