From October 15, 2012, all labor offices across the country will begin accepting documents for the I Can Do More project, the Employment Agency officially announced.

Another 50,000-60,000 people will be able to participate in training in

  • professional qualification,
  • digital competencies, and
  • training in foreign languages (minimum 300 hours),

thanks to a budget increase of 50 million BGN, according to the Employment Agency statement.

Those with completed higher education must also submit their secondary education diploma to prove they have not studied more than the maximum number of hours of the language they are applying for.

Final Deadline

for submitting applications is November 2, 2012

Who is eligible for training under I Can Do More

Any person who

  • works on an employment contract or is
  • self-employed,

Submitting Documents

Documents are submitted to the labor office

  • at your place of residence or
  • at your place of work.

Who is not eligible for training under I Can Do More

Employees with official, employment, or equivalent legal relationships in state administration bodies, local government administration bodies, the judicial system, national education systems, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Defense will not be able to benefit from I Can Do More, due to the existence of other programs that finance training in the respective sectors.

Persons who have used training opportunities under projects and programs financed by Operational Program 'Human Resources Development', FAR Program, the state budget, or another public source cannot receive a voucher for the same training.

Training is not permitted in relation to

  • public security and safety,
  • religion,
  • agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, and
  • household services.

During the first 8 months of implementation of the I Can Do More project, nearly 48,000 people were enrolled in training, of which more than 30,000 have successfully completed the courses.
