The online game 'Risk Zone', a joint project of www.Kabinata.com and the National Center for Safe Internet at the 'Applied Research and Communications' Foundation, won first prize in the 'Science and Education' category at the Bulgarian Web Awards, held annually by the Bulgarian Web Association.

The official award ceremony for all categories took place on June 28, 2012 at 7:00 PM (last night) at the 'Arena di Serdika' hotel in Sofia. A video recording of the ceremony will be published in the coming days on Live.Kabinata.com, where it was broadcast live online by 'Kabinata'.

The game led to a sharp increase in the number of reports of illegal and harmful-to-children content online, as well as phone calls and Skype contacts to consultants from the Bulgarian Online Safety Line.

IT teachers in schools have been informed about the game to use it as a teaching resource for safe online behavior.

The game was developed with the participation of students.

The player in 'Risk Zone' plays the role of a private detective, whose task is to uncover a series of mistakes related to risky use of online and mobile technologies that led to the disappearance of a minor girl.

The goal is to make young people think about the risks of using the internet and mobile technologies in an engaging way, as well as to promote the activities and services of the National Center for Safe Internet and the opportunity to seek help and support when facing problematic situations online.
