A free language test and your personal study plan
This free test is your first step with Kabinata, an online language centre founded in 2005. Over 70,000 students have gone through our courses. Kabinkova, our AI teacher, asks you a few questions and uses your answers to build a personal study plan. The questions take about two minutes, with no right or wrong answers. The test itself is in Bulgarian.
Your language and your profile
First pick the language you want to learn: English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. Then say how old you are, who you are, why you are learning (you can choose several reasons) and how you rate your level.
What holds you back
Next you say whether short statements are true for you, for example that you are afraid of making mistakes, you lack speaking practice, or your vocabulary feels limited. You also say whether you live where the language is spoken and what you want to improve.
Your time and your goal
Choose how many minutes a day you can give (5, 15, 30 or 60), when you want to speak freely and what has stopped you so far. Preparing for an exam or event? Add its date.
A short vocabulary test
You will see lists of words at levels A1-A2, B1-B2 and C1-C2. Tick every word you know and skip the ones you have never seen. Then you listen to a phrase and say how much you understood. This makes the plan more accurate than a simple self-assessment.
What your plan shows
Your plan lists the language, your starting and target level, your minutes per day and your timeframe: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. Levels follow the CEFR: A1-C1 for English and A1-B2 for the other four languages. You can have the plan sent to your email. Registration is free, needs no bank card and gives you 6 months of full access to lessons and AI practice.
A course with an Employment Agency voucher
Full courses with a teacher are currently offered through the voucher programme of the Bulgarian Employment Agency, for employed persons (the self-employed included). The voucher is worth up to 460 EUR and covers 300+ teaching hours in three levels, with a certificate for each completed level. Approved languages: English, German, Spanish and French.
