The lesson covers expressions and verbs of emotion in Spanish, the rules for using the infinitive or the subjunctive after them, and the formation and function of the Pretérito Perfecto de Subjuntivo.
About this lesson
In this lesson we will get to know the verbs and expressions of emotion in Spanish — such as «me alegro», «qué pena», «me preocupa» and many more. We will learn when such an expression is followed by the infinitive (when the subject is the same) and when by the subjuntivo (when there are two different subjects). We will also look at the formation and function of the Pretérito Perfecto de Subjuntivo — the tense that expresses completed actions within a period of time that has not yet ended. We will practise all of this through dialogues, exercises and real conversational situations from the lesson.
