Lesson 4 — Spanish B1

This lesson looks at the use of the subjunctive after the verb «esperar» and after «cuando» for future actions, through dialogues set in a hotel and on holiday in Argentina.

About this lesson

In lesson 22 you will learn how to express wishes in Spanish using the verb «esperar» and the subjunctive. You will understand when «cuando» is followed by the subjunctive (for future actions) and when by the indicative (for past or habitual actions). You will work with authentic dialogues that take place in a hotel and during a holiday in Argentina. By the end of the lesson you will be able to express wishes, describe problems in a hotel and build conditional sentences about the future.
