About this lesson
In the first Italian lesson, students will get to know the basic greetings and introductions, acquire elementary vocabulary for everyday communication and learn the basic grammar of personal pronouns. The lesson covers everything needed for a first contact with Italian and for confident communication in simple situations. We will learn how to say "hello", "goodbye", "my name is" and much more. The lesson follows the introductory unit (Unità 0) of the textbook and the workbook.

What you'll learn
Use the basic Italian greetings in the appropriate context (formal and informal).
Introduce yourself in Italian: say your name and ask for someone else's name.
Recognise and use the personal pronouns in the singular and plural.
Say how you are with simple phrases such as "Sto bene" and "Come stai?".
Read and pronounce a short A1-level dialogue between people meeting for the first time.
