About this lesson

In this lesson you will learn how the German Konjunktiv II is used to express unreal wishes, dreams, hypothetical conditions and polite requests. You will look at the difference between the real world (Indikativ) and the unreal world of dreams (Konjunktiv II). You will learn how the forms of Konjunktiv II are built for weak and strong verbs, as well as for the auxiliary verbs 'haben', 'sein' and 'werden'. The exercises are built on authentic examples from the course material, including comparisons, conditional sentences and polite questions.
