About this lesson
In this lesson, we will learn how to talk about travel, countries and their inhabitants in German. We will take a brief look at the geography of Bulgaria and its neighbours, using the prepositions of direction and location. The central grammar topic is the Präteritum – the simple past tense used in writing – for weak, strong and mixed verbs. Through exercises and examples from the text, we will consolidate the forms and learn to tell the three groups of verbs apart.
