About this lesson
In this lesson you will revise key grammatical structures from module B2-1: the forms and uses of the present and past conditional (conditionnel présent et passé), the futur antérieur and the use of the conditional in reported speech. You will work with authentic dialogues and situations — from expressing regret about plans that never came about to reporting what other people have said. The exercises will help you distinguish the different meanings of the conditional: hypothesis, consequence, future in the past, polite request and a fact in doubt. The lesson ends with practice in talking about plans, combining the futur proche, futur simple and futur antérieur.

- Form and correctly use the conditionnel passé to express regret and hypothetical past situations.
- Distinguish the different meanings of the conditional: hypothesis, consequence, future in the past, polite request, advice and unconfirmed fact.
- Form the futur antérieur and use it to express a completed future action.
- Construct a sequence of three sentences with the futur proche, futur antérieur and futur simple.
- Transform direct speech into reported speech with the correct use of the conditional.
