Lesson 5 — French A1

Learn vocabulary for family, marital status and professions, the stressed personal pronouns (moi, toi, lui...) and the present tense of the three verb groups.

About this lesson

In this lesson you will get to know the basic vocabulary for family and family relationships, working with a real text in which Margot Fontaine introduces herself. You will learn the stressed personal pronouns (moi, toi, lui, elle, nous, vous, eux, elles) and when they are used for emphasis or contrast. We will look at the present tense of regular verbs from the first (-ER), second (-IR) and third (-RE) groups, including some irregular verbs. The vocabulary covers marital status, professions and numbers from 1 to 1000 and beyond.
