About this lesson

In this lesson you will learn how to talk about tastes and preferences in English, using a rich range of verbs — from "adore" and "be mad about" to "detest" and "can't stand". You will read the story of Linda and Harry — a couple with many different, but also some shared, interests. You will master the key structures "prefer...to...", "prefer to do... rather than...", and "would rather...than..." so that you can compare preferences like a real English speaker. Through exercises, dictations and speaking tasks you will consolidate your knowledge at B1 level.
