A revision lesson based on an authentic text about a guitarist from New York and a celebration on the Golden Gate Bridge – with a focus on vocabulary, gap-filling and speaking.

About this lesson

In this revision lesson you will read and listen to two authentic texts in English – one about a classical guitarist who lost his valuable instrument in a taxi in New York, and the other about the 50th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. You will consolidate key vocabulary from the texts through gap-fill exercises. You will answer yes/no and wh- questions about the text to develop your reading and listening comprehension skills. The lesson ends with a speaking task in which you apply what you have learnt in free speech.
