Lesson 64: Unit 119 - Listening / Reading / Speaking
A lesson based on an authentic text about a dream on the beach and a dialogue between Anna and Peter at the party. You practise five verb tenses in context, along with key vocabulary.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will read and listen to two authentic texts in English — a lyrical essay about a memory of the beach and a conversation between two friends who have met at the party. You will sort verb forms according to tense (Present Perfect, Present Perfect Progressive, Past Simple, Past Progressive and Present Simple) and fill in phrases taken directly from the texts. You will expand your vocabulary with words such as "fascinating", "trainee", "preliminary" and "ambulance", encountered in a real context. The lesson ends with speaking questions in which you need to use what you have learned and talk freely about yourself.
