About this lesson
In this lesson you will learn the personal pronouns in English — I, you, he, she, it, we, they — and how to use them correctly in sentences. You will understand why "it" is used for inanimate objects, animals and impersonal expressions such as "It is raining". You will learn the full and short forms of the verb "to be" (am, is, are) with each pronoun. Through the text about Tina Davis and interactive exercises, you will consolidate the basic structure of the English sentence: subject — verb — object.
