Lesson 53: Unit 51 - Present Progressive and Present Simple
The lesson looks at the difference between the Present Simple (repeated actions) and the Present Progressive (actions happening right now), using Diana Weston's daily routine as its main text.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will learn the difference between the Present Progressive and the Present Simple in English. You will see how Diana and her family spend a typical working day and a Sunday, and you will understand when each of the two tenses is used. You will get to know adverbs of frequency such as always, usually, often, sometimes, and you will see where they are placed in the sentence. You will practise both tenses through a text, questions and exercises, just as they are taught in class.
