Lesson 33: Unit 32 - Possessive Pronouns

In this lesson learners learn the possessive pronouns in English (mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs) and how they differ from the possessive adjectives (my, your, his, her, its, our, their).

About this lesson

In this lesson you will learn the difference between possessive adjectives (my, your, his, her…) and possessive pronouns (mine, yours, his, hers…). Possessive pronouns are used ON THEIR OWN — we never put a noun after them. You will read the interesting text "The Mysterious Volkswagen" and see how these forms are used in a real context. You will practise the rule through a variety of interactive tasks built on the examples from the lesson.
