English has over 300 homophones that often cause problems when you need to write them…
Here are some examples:
Week/Weak
Week- a period of seven days
Weak– lacking strength or energy, exhausted
Meet/meat
Meet- encounter, greet (miit)
Meat- the flesh of an animal or the edible part of a fruit or vegetable (miit)
Shout/shoot
Shout- yell, cry out (shaut)
It is often confused and is actually read/pronounced as…
Shoot– fire a gun (shuut)
Think carefully before you say something…😛
Buy/bye/by (bai)
Here we are dealing more with potential spelling mistakes.
Buy– purchase
Bye=Good bye Goodbye, Farewell /but has other meanings too/
By– in various expressions it can mean all sorts of things, namely…

by e-mail via email, through email
