Jennie is English, from Birmingham, and lives in Bulgaria. She has been teaching English online for more than fifteen years to learners across Europe, both one-to-one and in groups. In her lessons she encourages people to talk about the topics that genuinely interest them, and she shapes every lesson around the needs of the individual student. To spark discussion and build on what has already been learned, she draws on textbooks, online material, news stories and current affairs; together with the student she works on grammar, reading and conversation, and sometimes on writing. She teaches from the very first level upwards and has prepared people for exams and other requirements when applying for work in England. At Kabinata she gave more than 130 online lessons to over 180 students between 2019 and 2023 and has more than 80 reviews from them. She believes that every step in learning a language is a step towards confident communication – and invites you to take the first one, or the next one, with her.
