Lesson 6: Running Business Meetings & Expressing Nuanced Opinions (B2) – Negotiating, Agreements, and Conditional Frameworks

A focused look at chairing meetings, proposing compromises, and expressing carefully hedged opinions using the conditional and subjunctive moods, along with common workplace idioms.

About this lesson

In this lesson you will master how to lead and facilitate business meetings in Spanish — putting topics on the table, proposing terms, and articulating nuanced agreements and reservations. We will practise softening expressions (No es que…, pero…), conditional structures, and conjunctions that trigger the subjunctive (siempre que, en la medida en que). You will build the confidence to discuss strategic decisions, negotiate deadlines, and reference criteria and risks in a polished, professional manner.
