Lesson 5: Renting a Home and Handling Everyday Problems

Finding an apartment, understanding rental terms, communicating with your landlord, and dealing with household issues.

About this lesson

In this lesson, you will practise how to search for and choose a home, discuss rent, deposits (fianza), and contracts, as well as how to politely report problems and request repairs. You will work on expressing preferences and concerns, negotiating, and making plans — all using core tenses and polite forms. Perfect for real-life situations: phone calls with your landlord, enquiries, and small-scale negotiations.
