Lesson 9: A Weekend Trip and the Past Tense (Perfekt)

An introduction to the Perfekt tense through the theme of weekend travel: recounting experiences, asking for and giving directions, shopping, and expressing simple opinions.

About this lesson

In this lesson, you will connect familiar topics — travel, directions, shopping, and hobbies — with an introduction to the Perfekt past tense. You will practise choosing the right auxiliary verb (haben/sein), forming the Partizip II, and using typical verbs of movement and activity in a travel context. You will learn how to ask for and give directions in an urban setting, briefly describe how your weekend went, and express a simple opinion (liked it / didn't like it). Perfectly suited for A2 level: clear structures, everyday situations, and authentic phrases — brought to you by Kabinata.
