About this lesson
In this lesson, we practise practical language for travelling by urban and intercity transport: buying tickets, asking about platforms, and changing connections. We introduce the Perfekt tense for recounting recent travel experiences (motion verbs with 'sein' and action verbs with 'haben'). We work with real-life phrases at ticket counters and machines, and clear patterns for reading timetables.

- Ask for and purchase a ticket (at a counter or machine) and specify the ticket type (einfach; hin und zurück).
- Ask for directions and find the right platform or stop, and understand key timetable announcements.
- Talk about a recent trip in the past tense (Perfekt with 'sein' and 'haben').
- Use key time expressions (gestern, am Wochenende) and share opinions about travel (einfach, praktisch, teuer/günstig).
