About this lesson
In this revision lesson you will consolidate your knowledge of the simple future tense (futur simple) in French. You will practise forming it with regular verbs as well as with the most common irregular verbs such as être, avoir, aller, faire, pouvoir, vouloir and others. You will work with a variety of sentences from everyday situations — travel, studying, free time — in order to master the use of the tense in a natural context. The lesson includes numerous gap-fill and transformation exercises that stay true to the school's original curriculum.

What you'll learn
- Form the futur simple of regular verbs from the first, second and third groups correctly.
- Know and use the irregular futur simple stems of verbs such as être, avoir, aller, faire, pouvoir, vouloir, venir, voir, savoir, falloir.
- Transform sentences from the present or the past into the simple future.
- Form questions and negatives in the simple future.
- Use the futur simple in sentences about plans, intentions and assumptions.
