Lesson 8: Unit 68 - Some, Any, No, Every
In this lesson we learn how to use somebody, anything, nowhere, everybody and their word groups correctly in affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences at A2 level.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will learn how to use the quantifiers Some, Any, No and Every correctly in English. You will study their different forms – somebody, anyone, nothing, everywhere and many more – and when to apply them. You will work with an authentic dialogue between two friends in which these words appear in a natural context. The exercises include true/false questions, gap-filling and speaking tasks based on the lesson material.

- Recognise and correctly use the words from the some-, any-, no- and every- groups (somebody, anything, nowhere, etc.)
- Distinguish when to use a negative form with any- as opposed to a no- form
- Understand and apply the rule that after everybody/everyone/everything the verb is in the singular
- Use these words in affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences
- Understand a connected dialogue and answer questions about it
