Lesson 41: Unit 98 - Verbs+Prepositions. Words+Prepositions 2.
The lesson consolidates the use of verbs and adjectives with their required prepositions – from, on, with, to, for, of – through examples, exercises and questions about the words in bold.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will learn how to correctly link verbs and adjectives with the prepositions they must go with. We will look at pairs such as 'agree with', 'explain to', 'look for', 'spend on', 'absent from', 'popular for' and many others taken from real sentences. We will understand why words with similar meanings share the same preposition – for example 'look for / search for / seek for'. Through gap-filling, questions about the words in bold and speaking tasks you will consolidate these important combinations and avoid common mistakes.
