Lesson 38: Unit 37 - Present Simple Tense. Negative Forms.
In this lesson we learn how to form negative sentences in the Present Simple with the help of don't and doesn't, practising the forms through a text, tests and sentence building.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will learn how to form negative forms in the Present Simple Tense, using the auxiliary verb DO/DOES and the particle NOT. You will understand when don't is used and when doesn't – a rule that depends on the person of the subject. You will read an authentic text about Mark – a very lazy man – and answer questions about it. In addition, you will practise the rule by transforming positive sentences into negative ones and you will fill in the gaps with the correct form. The lesson contains speaking, writing and listening exercises suitable for A1 level.
