Lesson 25: Unit 25 - Listening and Speaking

About this lesson

In Lesson 25 we will read an authentic text about a new apartment and learn how to describe rooms, furniture and pets in English. We will practise understanding a written text through "True / False" questions and open questions. We will also read a dialogue between a mother and her daughter about shopping for cake ingredients. Finally, we will talk about our own home, our favourite activities and what is on our desk right now.

• wardrobe In the bedroom there is a bed and a wardrobe.
• carpet There is a beautiful carpet on the floor in the bedroom.
• dressing table My dressing table has a mirror on it.
• slippers Charlie's hobby is eating our slippers.
• study My husband is an architect. He has got a study and he works there.
• tasty I can cook tasty meals in the kitchen.
• delicious At the weekends I can prepare delicious lunch for my family.
• flour We've got ten eggs, some flour, and not much milk.
• hazel nuts Yes, there are hazel nuts. Daddy likes nuts in the cake.
• champagne You can also buy a bottle of champagne, some coffee, and some fruit juice.
