In this lesson students will learn how to form questions and negative forms with the verb “have got”, as well as how to give short answers in English.
About this lesson
In this lesson you will learn how to form negatives with the verb “have got” – full forms (have not got / has not got) and contracted forms (haven't got / hasn't got). You will see how questions are asked by swapping the places of the verb and the subject (Has he got…? / Have they got…?). You will practise short answers such as “Yes, I have” and “No, he hasn't”. The material is illustrated with a text about Ben's birthday and a dialogue in a gift shop. All of this will help you talk naturally about possession in English.
