subject or object in the sentence:
Subject pronouns – Perform the function of
subject in the sentence.
HE lives in a big house.
THEY are students.
Object pronouns – Perform the function of
direct or indirect object
in the sentence.
Mary
buys HIM
a present. – Mary GIVES HIM a present. (indirect object)
Mary
buys a present for HIM. – Mary buys a present for HIM. (direct object)
In
some cases Object pronouns
are translated as Subject pronouns.
This
must be HIM – This
must be HE.

Possessive adjectives – in English they are translated
also as POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS. The possessive pronoun performs the role
of an adjective and
is placed before a noun. It cannot be
independent.

Those

Possessive pronouns – possessive pronouns
completely replace nouns.
They are used independently.
