On May 22, 2013, the 'Electronic Campus' project was presented at UNWE. It consists of consolidating all existing electronic services for students in the Ministry of Education into a single portal (campus.egov.bg) into one place.
From that date forward, every student in Bulgaria has completely free access with a single username and password to these services.
The project was presented by the Minister of Education – Prof. Nikolay Miloshev, Roman Vasilev – Minister of e-Government, Prof. Stati Statev – Rector of UNWE, and Orlin Kuzov – Director of the ICT Directorate in the Ministry of Education.
One of the services in the portal – 'Student Internships' – was implemented jointly by Kabinata and Infosystems. Thanks to its technologies, last year Kabinata was recognized by the World Bank as one of the 20 most innovative small and medium enterprises in the world.
The 'Student Internships' Project
is designed to provide practical training for all over 60,000 students in Bulgaria.
A successful completion of practical training under the 'Student Internships' project is considered when it has been conducted in a real work environment for 240 hours. Upon completion and reporting of the internship, students receive a scholarship of 480 BGN.
At the time of the project's presentation, 4,352 employers were registered on the website and 1,078 job postings were published for 6,471 student internship positions. More employer and student registrations are expected.
For the first time in our country, this process is carried out entirely online.
